Short Neoclassical Clip On A Les Paul

Re: Short Neoclassical Clip On A Les Paul

Bump

So what's the verdict? Am I the only person who thinks that amp sounds awesome?

Re: Short Neoclassical Clip On A Les Paul

Cool playing but a LP sounds out of place for that style to me anyhow. I like the tone though.

Yay I got a reply! Thanks so much for your feedback. I try to use all my guitars for everything and that doesn't work out too well. I'm glad you liked the tone and didn't get too disturbed with the bad playing!

Re: Short Neoclassical Clip On A Les Paul

Yip, the Koch sounds great!
Would like to try one in person but no-one here stocks them at all. Have only heard mp3 sample sounds online before.

Re: Short Neoclassical Clip On A Les Paul

Cool, but I think you want more treble. Like Slash or the Young brothers. I think an LP neck pickup can work, but with Yngve amounts of hair. It actually could be cool, as you'll still have that body and attack.

I've been getting that a lot lately. There's not enough presence in my tone. I'm gonna work on that and try to post some clips soon except this time I'll play without the mistakes! Thanks so much for your feedback!

That amp sounds awesome.

Neck pickup sounded great. Bridge was a little dark. Sounded like A2...Correct?

What do you mean "you can't do neo-classical with a les paul"?
I do it all the time. Well, OK. Maybe it's just standard SHRED wankery. But its fun.

Thanks a lot Bigheadood! Coming from you that means a lot. I think my tone overall needed more presence. I turned the dial up 1 notch and started recording with that to see how much better it sounds. I think it's an improvement but I'll probably need a touch more presence.

Hard to say how dark a guitar sounds or how much presence it lacks without music behind it. On a solo recording with no rhythm guitar you can't tell how well it will actually cut through. My Les Pauls cut through like a samurai sword! Never had a problem cutting through a mix on my Les Paul. My PRS McCarty is a different story. Needs more presence.

I'm just getting back into playing again so I'll try to post more worth clips in the future!

Re: Short Neoclassical Clip On A Les Paul

IDK if it really needs more treble, IMHO.

The Laney clip was a bit dark, but not the Koch.

Re: Short Neoclassical Clip On A Les Paul

I thought it was really good... playing and the sound.... but I know what you mean about a little more presence. Another great clip SSS. Cheers.

Re: Short Neoclassical Clip On A Les Paul

Thanks guys! I also put some new amp clips up too. One is the Koch Twintone and the other is the Budda Superdrive II 30w. Then there is a demo I did with the GT10 using an Yngwie patch I created.
