Should I build this?

I have all the parts here for a parts-o-caster that I acquired probably 4+ years ago. They've been sitting all wrapped up in three basements now as I've made several moves.

Warmoth Body - Alder, Seafoam, Hardtail
Hardtail Vintage style bridge
Warmoth white pickguard
White Invaders (only have the bridge right now)
Lynch style switching (Push-Pull volume)
MIM reverse 70's style maple/maple neck

I always liked the Delonge style guitar but I wanted to make a few changes. Now (years later) I'm debating if I should build this or distribute the parts elsewhere. (Maple neck onto my black strat, use the Seafoam body for a more 60's style vintage Strat build)

I say do it, as well. Who cares about the "no" votes? Do it for you, and if it doesn't blow your skirt up, then take it apart and do something different

Re: Should I build this?

Yeah do it! I think I would probably swap necks with the black one tho'. Maple on black would look great and you can always swap 'em back if you don't like it.

+1, it's not as if you'd be locked to it if you changed your mind later. Looks as if it'll be cool enough

Re: Should I build this?

I would say it's a moral imperative at this point...

(though I do admit I would lean towards a rosewood neck)

Re: Should I build this?

Ok, when I get a chance I'm going to pull the neck off the black Strat to mock them up with Maple vs Rosewood, SSS vs HH.

Re: Should I build this?

The HH is plain white with only a single volume. (To be wired Lynch style with push-pull). The SSS is white pearl with standard controls and loaded with SSL-1/SSL-1/Stelly. (Vintage style) I'm thinking of swapping the pickguard out with a simple black or white one.

Essentially, one will end up "super" and one will end up "traditional".
