Should i modify my original Epiphone Les Paul wiring to install my S.D. 59 Humb.?

Almost everything is in the title...
Just got S.D. "59 model humbucker (Sh1) single conductor neck and bridge, to replace original pickups (single conductor also) on my Epiphone Les Paul Standard (2009).
I install the "59 neck And bridge without changing anything in the wiring on my guitar. It works well. But, with my new pickups, i got this wiring diagram below that shows something different than the original wiring on my Epi.
Is it a better way to do ? And will it change or improve sound or something if i apply this wiring ?
Thanks

How is the diagram different?

Provided your Epi is stock and you're going through the same potentiometers and capacitors (knobs and green thingys) as the diagram, no it won't sound different. Are you noticing any hum?

Hi,
Thanks for reply.
No, i don't notice any hum.
The Epi diagram looks like this one below, with same capacitors. My old pickups are single conductor.

From an electronics perspective, the only differences between the two schematic diagrams concern the capacitors and the fact that the diagram in post #1 is for humbuckers with traditional single conductor + braided shield output cable whereas the one in post #3 is four-con + shield cable.

The physical location of the capacitors differs but this has no effect on their function. The pot terminal to chassis approach saves space. The between the pots approach saves wire.

Squinting at the two SD diagrams, it appears that the quoted capacitor values may differ from each other.

The Epi diagram ...

An official Epiphone schematic diagram for four-conductor + shield output cable will conform to the Gibson colour code convention rather than the SD convention.

Thanks very much for informations.
For the moment, i keep the original Epi wiring, cause it works well.
I prefer play guitar than play with the guitar:D
Cheers !

When looking at diagrams, there are many ways to do exactly the same thing. The main thing is if it works, and if it does (and sounds awesome), then you win!

The 59 pickups have a metal braided Ground shield cover. The Epiphone pups are two conductor wires one hot (the wire in the SD) and ground (the metal braid) I think this is where your confusion lies.

What is it with joining a forum just to pointlessly bump 4 year old threads?

There is a hidden link in his message in blue font. I definitely won't be clicking it to find out what it is.
