Should Kac Buy SFX-01 or SFX-02

I have previously owned both, and am currently looking to add a little versatility to my pedal-board that could be accomplished by either one of 'em...

I like the effect of modifying the tone from single coil pickups (which I use primarily) ~ and then I also like the different tonal options available with a tweak knob... So I seek input from the SD Forum!

Coincidentally, have any modders out there opened up a pickup booster? -I'd be really interested in any mods that helped make one more transparent...

I've been thinking about getting a tweak fuzz for some time now, is it a good idea?

I am not big on ANY fuzz so my vote goes to the boost. Matter of fact all I have been taking to jams lately is my PUP Booster, TS9 and wah!! I just love the sound of the PUP booster hitting the front of my Lux!!

I've already got a great distortion pedal. Its gonna be a fuzz or a boost that I get next, just lookin' for a little direction from the forum.

+1 I also dislike fuzz and would also hold out for the new MOSFET Pedal- the Lava box....

Nice.

I like the Tweak Fuzz, it's an incredibly stable/tame Fuzz Face, and I love the tweak knob. Great concept I plan on adding to my FF clone (when I build it. )

Does anyone have any experience comparing the Duncan booster to others? I bet the BYOC, Keeley and Analogman are better, but at the price point, it's tough to argue against it... lol

I'd opt for the SFX-01 out of the two you mentioned. And, FWIW, the Lava Box is a way cool pedal

Kac should have waited a while since i'll soon be taking orders for version 2.0 of my Monroe Drive
