Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

Here's mine - a Hohner Rockwood. Cheap parts and an amazing player, best playing Strat I've ever played in fact..

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

American Vintage '62 Stratocaster Reissue. Stock pickups at the moment although I'm thinking of putting some Duncans in 'er. My dream Strat tone would be like like tiny grains of crystal and rock running through your fingers. And also it's kinda stormy out. I bet that description is all MJ would need to nail it.

What type of white is this guitar? Nice....

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

Yeah, seems like the mint green pickup is used for so many Fender and/or strat guitars. I was surprised when asking some younger band members what they preferred as a color for their pickguards if they could have any.........a majority picked a white guitar with a mint green pickguard. Is Vintage White the most common white with mint green....or Olympic White? Other?
Beautiful guitar there!

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

Just put a few bucks down on a Fender Mexi strat, a Wayne's World 2 one. Not completely original, but it'll be better with the Duncan pickups it has in it.

The point is, whether you perceive a given white body as vintagy, yellowish, snowish or olympic depends on what it contrasts with. The mint green pickguard turns a meh white into a cool white for your brain.

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

My 1985 ish Strat with factory Floyd Rose...made in Japan during the time the new Corona, California plant being built. Purchased from Wayne Charvel in 1995. I added the Flame Maple pickguard, the pickups, did away with the pot closest to the bridge...and went 500k on the Volume and 500k No-load on the Tone that are connected to the output of the pickup selector signal...as it is on its way to the output jack.

Wood is a seriously nice addition!!!!

Deluxe Strat Plus with Duncans.

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

^^^I wish Fender would make a version of that bridge again - with upgraded components.

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

Here's the black and blue caster, still unfinished as she need an all black pg to finish her "look". Just picked her up today.

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

Here are mine.. Nothing spec, but they play and sound great!

White one is a very heavily modded Squier. Black one is a Japanese Squier that came with a Fender branded Kahler system 1 (IIRC) trem.

Just a few of them… (All are actually finished, I just don’t have pictures of them completed yet!)

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

Here are my two Strats. The black one is an older Squier that I updated with a custom birch pickguard and trem plate, Lace Gold Sensors in the neck and bridge positions, Lace Silver in the middle and Graphtech saddles.

The sunburst is a first run American Sambora Strat. It's pretty much stock except that I've had the trem blocked for dive only. It's a nice guitar, but I'm thinking of swapping out the bridge humbucker for something a little different. It was billed as a PAF Pro, but it doesn't look or sound like any PAF Pro that I've had in the past. And it doesn't really seem to match up well to the Texas Specials in the other two positions.
