Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

That's just all class. Oly White, imo is one of the best colors for the Strat. Looks great uOpt. Is that a partscaster? I noticed the fretboard markers weren't clay.

No, it is a CS69. Well I hope, anyway :)

I didn't change anything except the pickguard, pickup covers (aged) and pickups, it used to have a snow white guard. I just like mint green better.

The red one is a MIJ 88 FR special, the center is a Am dlx with modern player neck, 57/62s and a 59. The black is swamp ash with warmoth neck, texas specials and a 78.

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

This is a 86ish HM Strat so unnatural as far as these guitars go. Removed the neon pink paint routed for a OFR and a humbucker in the neck. It has Tom Anderson pups the 2 humbuckers are wired series/split/parallel and it is a master volume/tone with a blend pot. It was originally going to be a beautiful deep purple metalflake but the guy backed out at the last second so runny black rustoleum is the paint job.25" scale so when we set the poles for bridge and cut the top it was 1/2 inch off, never thought to check the scale of a Strat WTF over ? All this aside it is a fantastic sounding and playing guitar , you can toss it out a truck at 60 mph it will stay in tune. Here is what it looked like before being mauled yes it was pretty before sorry guys

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

A lot of way cool Strats in this thread. I have three now, and one project in the making.

A first year Custom Shop Cray in Violet, a first year SRV, and my Clapton partscaster with D. Allen Tru-62 pickups, a Blackie neck and Callaham saddles.

My next one will be a relic build.

This one will be a 50's one ply white guard with a Maple neck, and maybe Lollar blonde pickups.

Re: Show Off Your STRATOCASTER !!!

This was my first guitar. I never really got along with it so I gave it away a few years ago only to get it back just recently. I had swapped the pickups for a Dimarzio Area set, but I'm planning on giving it a pretty massive overhaul over the summer. Planning on a new neck, conversion to a HS setup, and a new trem system.

Not exactly my strat, but it is an image I created for prints. I thought folks here might like to see it. blues-tools_sm.jpg
