That thing is teets man!! Love it! I know they are technically called an RG3XXV, but out of habit, I always call them a 565. My buddy has the Lazer Red one, but I prefer the Lazer Blue like yours. I also like the original 565's in Emerald Green as well.

Lots of nice guitars guys! Great thread Muttznmongrelz!

Thanks man.

Yes this is basically the cheap version of RG565 yet it comes stock with Dimarzio D Activator and Norton and very sick reverse headstock.

I think the red one (candy apple) is just weird with H-S pickup configuration. Too bad Ibanez didn't issue the emerald green this time.

Another one in my Ibanez arsenal. I've posted this before by the way: Heavily modified RGA32. Used to be in mahogany finish which had faded from repeated hand rubbing of the previous owner; active electronics. I had it repainted vintage violin burst (borrowing the term from Ibanez catalog), took the pickups out and replaced them with Evo set; knockoff Schaller locking tuners; new truss rod cover. What I love about this is the neck profile which is 'D' shape with very flat back that you can actually feel it is really flat.

Re: "Show Some Ibanez Love" Thread

what older Ibby is on the level of the Japanese neck thru Jackson Soloists of the 90's? I want an older Jem, but that probably ain't ever gonna happen. I do like the mid level stuff MIJ like the 90's/early 2000's alder body bolt ons of discontinued Japanese Jackson like the Dinkys DK2 Rosewood Neck and maple neck DK2m's ( absolutely despise Basswood like on most Ibanez), so looking for a Ibanez comparable model of those Jacksons.

Yea Candy Apple, dont know why I called it Lazer Red...lol
Theres was a guy somewhere on a forum that had a 565 in almost every color. Maybe it was here, most likely Jemsite though... Always one of my favs, that and a 750DX in Five Alarm Red and a 770DX in Lazer Blue...
I cannot wait to get mine and this thread is just making me adjust my pants.

Re: "Show Some Ibanez Love" Thread

Nice herd! What's the Black one w/Pink Pickups?

Looks like an RG1570MRB but that one came with an Edge Pro.

Correct. The color was Royal/Navy blue or something of that nature, right before they switched to the mirage blue, honestly I think it's just the same color. The pickups are aftermarket of course.

The black one hiding in the back is a graphite black 570 that's waiting for me to finish upgrades.

Sure. Sunburst 83 Roadstar II closeup. L-R: Rg120 with Floyd, DiMarzio paf pro, Saturn graphic skinz. '07 Cortek built Atk750, my main bass. Lastly, '82 Roadstar II with HSS and kahler flyer installed in 80s by me. Never goes out of tune. Thanks for the warm welcome! Don.

Re: "Show Some Ibanez Love" Thread

Since I picked up my AR325, I've caught myself several times going online and checking out the ARZs. I tend to think of the AR series as Ibanez' answer to the doublecut Les Paul, does the ARZ measure up as well? I've never had an opportunity to play one.

There used to be only the Chinese version (ARZ400 ARZ800 , etc line). Then it was renamed to ARZIR (Iron Label), and a MIJ model was introduced with slightly higher scale 25.1" and bareknuckles if I am not mistaken. My initial ARZ800 had a problem with the tailipiece, I returned this and got another one which was perfect but the 12th fret was slightly shorter. This was not a problem with medium action, but I wanted it super low and fast, so I recently made some 12" block and levelled frets and lived happily thereafter! Ohh and I had replace the switch as it could not keep its position and returned to middle (lousy when you wanna play harmonics right??). Cheap fixes both of them.

Sound-wise, with the EMG 81/60 is the sweetest guitar I have. In the mid position and tone rolled down all the way, I get the best jazz tones I could ever imagine. With tone to 10 in the bridge, and neck it is a very good metal single cut guitar, and with great ergonomy, light weight and super easy fret access. Plenty of sustain as well.
