man it was fun having that many guitars around! six of 'em were mine, one was my friend's, and the rest were my sister's...we'd just hang out and jam all day some days!

let's see some of your group photos guys, i know there are some really impressive collections on this forum!

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

Man, I wish I had a picture of my tour rig.... :(

Mesa recto and Marshall JCM 2000 heads in a road case with a shock-mount rack built into it (that thing must have weighed 250lbs, ugh) and then a 1960A and mesa recto cab both in road cases. Then my guitar rack with my PRS singlecut in honeyburst, Cu22 artist in royal blue and McCarty standard in platinum metallic. Custom built pedal board with my amp footswitches, DD-6 delay, Phase 100 and stereo chorus. Those were the good ole days :D

Too bad school and adult responsibilities set in and I had to down size.

Let me see if I can't find a picture that shows some pieces of my rig...

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

Hey, empty pockets, good call on the Peavey T-40 bass...those things are the bomb. You can hammer nails in with them and then go to the gig and it'll be in tune. Good stuff. The bassist in our trio has one in the same black as yours and it rocks. Sounds good through my 1968 Bassman, which I see you have one of, too(it IS a 68, right?). Got some similar tastes going on here.

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

An old & overly flashed family photo... at least two years old...

Some of these are no longer here... Schecter USA Tele got traded off for the Am. Dlx Bigsby edition; the red & green strats are LONG gone...

So is the Dan-O baritone... but we don't like to talk about that.

Here's some of it.

Here's some more. Some of what's in the first pic got moved from the racks shown here so it's the same stuff. This pic shows a lot of my home studio gear.

Another pic from several years ago. I've since sold a few of the rack effect units. I also no longer use the ADAT, the BBE, the Symetrix 8 channel compressor, and some of the other studio gear in the picture.

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

...what the hell is the deal with that yellow LP thing?

Can't tell what's going on with the bridge or pickups.

Looks almost like an old Harmony, I like that vibe.

EDIT: yeah of course I like the stripe on the strat :D

I'll have to talk to my sister about it -- i left it with her in Salt Lake City cuz i didn't feel like shipping it to Georgia. But i'll letcha know cuz i like marshall cabs...

yeah that T40 was sweet. back in high school i tried to save up for it but my friend bought it first...which was no big deal cuz he played bass in my band. anyway we parted ways for a while but kept in touch, and eventually i was able to buy it from him cuz he stopped playing. then my other sister bought it from me and now it's probably covered in dust in a corner in Utah with the same blue strings i put on it two years ago. :kabong:

That bass....in fact any of those guitars sounded so sweet through that rig. I kept the Bassman on top of the Peavey because I'd run the signal into the Bassman's bass channel first, then jumped into the Peavey's input, then there was a 'signal out' on the front that let you send some of the signal to another amp, so I'd send the high-mids back into the Bassman's normal channel. With the Peavey's 15" speaker and the two 4x12 cabs, you were just enveloped in the sound :smokin:
