HAH.

I have 75% of the parts to make a Jazzmaster.

I don't really NEED any more guitars than this, so I've tried to get rid of the JM parts for ****ing nearly two years now... For some reason, whenever I'm about to sell even a bit of it, I just can't, which might be an omen, but it's not like I have enough cash currently coming in to justify that project... If initiated it would certainly be Seafoam though, with either a brown tort or goldguard, and matching stock :D (as it is I have the pups, bridge, two trems, a neck, and someone who's supposed to give me a body if I ever press them enough...)

I'd need a Bass VI, or Maverick, to really complete things... The Maverick intrigues me by basically being a 6 string elec XII with the Mustang trem (my fave) and just seems like it might be among my favorite axes if I could ever find/try one, and lately I've just figured a VI would be useful for numerous things... Glenn Campbell to Placebo :laugh2:

If I could afford one I'd have an original Hagstrom Goya.

And eventually when I'm rich, a JM with Tele Deluxe pickups. Or maybe just a Tele Deluxe... ****.

Well right now she's out of action... Otherwise I wanted about 300 quid for it, with PATB/CR/APS or whichever pickups you want. Can't find a **** person to buy it though <_<

i see what you mean, but for me it's just being lucky enough to find the right stuff at the right time and just so happened to have the gear to exchange and spare cash to acquire it. assuming that i have good gear, which i'd like to think i do.

Its not much in comparison to some of the collection shown previously, but since Pierre is showing is wee family, so why not...

Ahh yeah, that is a sweet sweet guitar with a cool story behind it. I had moved up to Utah just a few months prior to be closer to my family, and my little sister was turning 16. This chick is a much better guitarist than i am and is an active member of like a few little musical projects in her area, and she was using either her acoustic, the lowest grade, most POS Ibanez you can ever try to imagine, or her baritone Jaguar that our mom bought her thinking it was a 6-string bass.

meanwhile i'm playing a sweet USA Fender Strat into a 68 Bassman on top of a Sunn 4x12 to myself alone with nobody. so i thought the universe needed to be balanced out and decided to get her new, decent gear. I had picked out a sweet, sparkly pink Daisy Rock, it was basically a Telecaster with a neck humbucker and different headstock. I almost bought it but knew a guitar was a really personal decision so i had to have her test-drive it first.

when i picked her up to go to the store, she was wearing an orange shirt. When she tried the Daisy, she said it was sweet but didn't really dig the sparkly pink...tried some cheapy strats...then she spotted the Orange Fender Cyclone. It played better, looked cooler, matched the amp she was pluggd into AND the shirt she was wearing...destiny man, destiny. :smokin:

when i took the Super Distortion and 59 out of my Warmoth i put 'em in that Cyclone. It was around x-mas time so i 'finished' the 'sweet new gear gift' and got her a Valve Jr. and those new pickups. She even managed to get her hands on my SUNN cabinet when i didn't feel like spending more than it was worth to ship it to the ATL...she let me take her Fender 1x12 and is rockin out (and coloring all over with crayon) my SUNN 4x12.

Thanks... to me they're really comfortable and not too heavy at all. The black beauty is a '57 R.I and is therefore all Mahogany, the standard is a '96 Page model that I've took all the gold off, '59 spec wiring and a Bro/PGn combo. The B.B sounds much sweeter and warmer than the std, yet sounds bigger too... if that makes any sense? I'm thinking that I'm going to sell most of my guitars inc the Page, and get another '57... either a Gold top or another B.B... and I'll keep the Blonde Legacy coz it's NEARLY the best strat type i've ever played. Here's a group shot that incudes most of mine and also my 2 boys guitars which are the Yamaha SG3000, Ibanez SA and the Gib Explorer.
