Signature Model thread

Re: Signature Model thread

have any?

If you do post them and talk about them here.

If you hate signature guitars, fantastic....good for you. Here is a cookie

I have 3 Signature models:

1. Grace Potter V
2. Jeff Tweedy SG
3. Dethklok Explorer.

If I were to handpick my 3 favorite sug guitars it'd be these 3

Well done

Also, I hate you

Re: Signature Model thread

I don't any and never have... not that I would have anything against owning someones, just never have.

My KH's one may be a little better than the other.... :D Would love an ESP Ouija or a KH-20!!!!!
Major GAS for a Clapton strat in the classic black with with pick guard and a maple neck...

PRS Dave Navarro Custom 24.

Easily the best playing guitar I've ever had. Just needs a set of Duncan's in it.

As much as I'm not a huge fan of the idea of playing someone else's guitar ... Generally they can be quite awesome. OP's guitars in question are freaking cool.

Right now I'm digging the looks of the Derek Trucks SG.

(though Dave's was a USA and neckthrough, it still got the name, which makes it a sig model)

No pic, but I did get a Jackson JS-series Ellefson Concert Bass a while back. The one with the Rust In Peace logo on the trussrod cover.

Fender EVH "sig" from long before the EVH Art Series stuff - talk about an atrocity

Re: Signature Model thread

I like several sig models, just for their features/specs/looks:

Krist Novoselic RD bass (wish it came in white or sunburst, though)
Gibson Trini Lopez (pointy version, not 335 version) and Barney Kessel (basically the same, but different headstocks and f holes)
Deathklok Explorer (a "fictional" signature model)
Lonnie Mack V
Grace Potter V (with a more traditional pickguard put on)
Wayne Kramer Strat
Mary Kaye Strat (an unofficial signature model)
Dave Murray Strat
Clapton Strat (candy green version) - I owned a black one, but sold it a while back.
Mark Knopfler Strat (absolutely gorgeous)
Gibson (and Epi) Lucille (I'd swap out the truss rod cover for a b/w one, and put a regular tailpiece or Bigsby/Vibramate on it.)
John Lennon U.S.A. made Epi Casino (sunburst version)
John Lee Hooker U.S.A. made Epi Sheraton
Epi Elitist Dwight Trash
Epi Elitist Twisted Sister
Epi Elitist Tak Matsumoto
Gibson Jimmy Page #1 (non-aged version)
Gretsch Chet Atkins (all models)
Robbie Krieger SG (I have a '68 Standard, which is basically the same thing.)
Jonas Brothers Melody Maker (after removing or painting over the stupid graphics)
Brian May guitars
...and, of course, the Les Paul and the Les Paul SG (duh)

I may have forgot some, but that pretty much covers it.

Mark Morton sig. Don't know anything about Lamb of God, but I like the features of this guitar. I had a whole bunch of good pic's but apparently photobucket ate them:cussing:

Re: Signature Model thread

I'm such a dumbass. I was sitting here thinking of signature gear that I own and couldn't think of any. Finally it popped in my head that I play this guitar every single day.

I also have a MXR EVH flanger and phaser, as well as a MXR Zakk Wylde Chorus and Overdrive. Besides my Les Pauls, I believe that's it.

I just remembered that I have a Dunlop EVH crybaby as well.

I hear ya, I do think that explorer kick's some serious a@#, though.

Re: Signature Model thread

That Steve Luthaker model is a darned fine looking guitar. Is it a custom body and headstock shape, or is it based on a pre-existing Ibanez?

Re: Signature Model thread

No sig. guitars here at the moment although I'd love to get my hands on an old candy apple red Malmsteen Strat or an ESP Laiho Blacky.

It's based on the Ibanez Roadstar. That's how the Ibanez RG (Roadstar Guitar) series looked back in the early eighties.

Really good looking guitars IMO. The single humbucker models were really cool. http://shredguitars.com/collections/data/502/medium/Ibanez_RS-315_Roadstar.jpg

ESP%20Signature%20Series%20Jon%20DonaisShadows%20Fall%20Natural%20Satin%206-String%20Electric%20Guitar.jpg

ESP's Jon Donais signature is one of the classiest metal axes I know. It has all the specs I like in a metal guitar. EMGs can always be changed but I kind of like them for what they do. And that bridge can always be changed to a Hipshot... :D

Re: Signature Model thread

I was thinking about my first post and since Les Pauls a sig guitar, maybe THE original sig guitar all of these are sig models

Interesting. I cant listen to that musical style without laughing. Am I nuts for thinking that death metal and black metal is inherently funny?
