Hi folks !

Bout a year ago i orderd a custom made silverburst copy build to my specs from the Shamray custom shop in russia.

Didnt know what pups to choose for her so i got some advise from this forum and it turned out great !! I have a C5 in the bridge and a PG in the neck both spiltable via pull pots :) . I am absolutly loving the tones i get out of this guitar. For those curious enough i have uploaded some pics of her here .

Specs are :
Body& Neck - Brazilian mohagony ( heavy !!!!! lol )
Top - Plain maple
Freatboard - ebony
Inlays - Mother of Pearl
Custom inlays - Paua Abalone
Trusrodcover, pickup rings , pickguard and all control cavity covers made of ebony.
Side dots - blue optic fiberglass with blue lenses.
Tuners - Schaller
Bridge GOtoh - tune O matic

Hope you enjoy and thanks to all for the advise. This is the best forum ever in more ways then 1 !! :burnout:

Re: Silverburst

cool looking guitar!! i used to have that same combo, c5/pgn, sounded great!!

Re: Silverburst

Thanks ! Yes its a great combo the body wood provides plenty of mids so i dont feel i am lacking any coz of the C5. I am actualy really impressed how they both sound split ! Not only do the provide very useable tones ( the pg in particular ) but they are both deadsilent when split as well. I am sure the electronics were installed by a pro but still ....

Re: Silverburst

Thanks ! The only gibson i played that gave me the same feel in finish and setup quality was a custom historic. Although i like to play any gibson everything on this guitar is build to my specs to perfection. And all by hand to i have pics of the top being carved with a little blade lol awsome !.

The action is set so low youd think the strings touch the frets but there is no fretbuzz or anything i love it!.

I was a lil weary of getting a guitar from Moscow but they allready had some customers in the USA and the UK who where nothing but praise about their instrument so i went for it.

Costs are amazingly low mostly due to the cost of labour there.
Wouldnt i have taken the custom inlays the side optic dots , all the ebony woodwork and pullpots it would have set me back about 1790 $ including case. With all my upgrades i payed 2450 for it.

Re: Silverburst

my car didnt even cost that much, and its a mint, brand new inside and out restored '90 RX-7, all leather even.

Re: Silverburst

LOL ! Good on ya :)! Did the car come with a hard shell case ?? The guitar did ...!

Re: Silverburst

That's a pretty decent price for a handmade guitar ... I take it you're a Life of Agony fan there?
