Ok, so my gf pop's on some Simon and Garfunkle album, and after a few songs we get to ' I am a rock, i am an islllaaannd..' what guitar sound is that? Very chimey and sweet. LIke Hawaii

Are you talking about the acoustic or the electric? I know Paul Simon played with his acoustic a lot and that looked like a custom made. As for the electric, there is no way I can tell because it was played by a studio guitar player. I understand some of the guitar tracks were added when Simon and Garfunkel were not in the studio.

The electric guitar part sounds like a vintage Strat at the 2nd position with a Silver face Fender amp to me.
