The top is curly maple the back is sapele, neck is Qld maple, ebony pinstripes, silky oak and purple heart. Pup is a Pearly Gates

I'd do purple with one pickup, too...but just a neck pickup. This is fantastic, and thanks for sharing!

i have a few guitars with just a bridge pup, but i do want a tone control on them. i can do a whole gig with my esquire into a cranked amp and be perfectly happy, but i know not everyone would wanna do that. i could probably do it with just a neck pup too, but the only guitar i have with only a neck pup is a '59 guild hollowbody strung with flats so i dont gig it often.

i love the figure of the back too! such a beautiful guitar peter
