Slash Alnico II... A review

Re: Slash Alnico II... A review

Since I'd consider Appetite for Destruction one of the greatest hard/heavy rock albums ever made, I'd definately say yes. Just make sure the pickups are adjusted to the right height.

Actually If memory serves Appetite was done with real PAF's. Now out of all the Duncan line I think the Alnico II are closest to the real PAF sound. Its really about warmth and these have it.

Can these things do hard/heavy rock? Im not going to play death metal, but Id be interested if they could do a little heavy

Er....where did you hear that?

I'm an old G'nR freak, and in several interviews (and in his bio) Slash states he was given the LP 'copy' just before they went into the studio for recording - and it had A2pro's in it from the beginning.

Not meaning to start a war here, I'm curious as to how you heard this, and, if its true, why he then ran A2pro's for years afterward if he had real PAF's in initially
