Saw these on Reverb this AM. Update to the packaging? New Version of the Slash pickups? Fakes?

Heaven't heard of 2.0. Looking at the web site, it appears what's new is they now offer black nickel, raw nickel and gold (don't recall them being in gold before). But basically some new cosmetic options. What's interesting is I don't see reverse zebra as an option, that's what the originals were (or at least one of the two in the set were reverse, so the cream/black went the same direction in both positions).

What I find odd, is the manufactures date is 3/17/23 and they are on Reverb 10 days later. Do pickups get made, shipped and received by a vendor in that short of time?

Yeah that’s quick, maybe in the next few days we will see something from Duncan. The 78 , Greenie and High Voltage production models showed up on Reverb about a week before they “released” them on the website.

I did hear something about them, but don't know the details yet. NAMM is in 2 weeks, so I'd guess we will find out then.

Well, there is such a thing as advance orders, and a licensed reseller would get the earliest information on what is being released so that they could sell right at the announce date.

Looks like a roughcast magnet from the picture . It might be an exact replica of the old 80s style ( long leg, braided conductors), but the original aph-1 wind vs the hotter slash wind?

I thought all Slashes were long leg, braided wire? I guess you can always order a shop floor custom with short legs and 4-cond, but I don't think the baseplates would be signed if you did. Where can you see the magnet?

I’m looking at the pictures on the Reverb Listing, agree on the current Slash being long leg and braided wire, I was thinking maybe this is a reissue of the old APH-1, before they were converted to short leg and 4 conductor.

They're legit. Release date is 4/18

Thanks for reaching out. The Slash 2.0 is a legit set that is officially being released on 04/18/2023. Slash wanted a pickups that is slightly hotter to push his amps into a little more drive than the standard Slash model.

Thanks

Well there you go, be interesting to see if they are still Alnico II or what the specs end up being. Thanks for checking!

I wonder if these will replace the 'Gibson Slash' models in his newest sig guitar, or if Gibson doesn't do that sort of thing.

Sometimes companies get products to press and bloggers early to synch up PR with the release date of the product. Someone might have received a review set and decided to sell the set. This is strange because usually, the company requires you do not sell review products for at least a year. That would be my guess. With NAMM around the corner, there is a lot of product out there for review and PR right now.
