Slash's Pedal Board

Re: Slash's Pedal Board

. . . ^ ^ ^ expect a Slash-something-sig pedal from MXR soon :D

Isn't the Dunlop Slash wah already a signature?: private:

I think he uses MXR because he is sponsored by Dunlop/MXR. It's cool since mxr are really great pedals.

Re: Slash's Pedal Board

I've discovered that I don't really need boutique pedals mostly... they only thing I use that could be considered boutique anymore is my Fulltone OCD, and that's still kinda production. Every high end wah I've used (Ok Teese 3 or 4 different ones) didn't sound gross enough or thick enough. So I like Slash's board :)

Re: Slash's Pedal Board

I wouldn't be too concerned with what Slash is using if I were you guys. His tone isn't really all that (in my opinion). And although I don't think he is even all that great at the guitar (you guys might, it's all opinion), why discuss other people's gear on a forum when you can be using that time to practice to play better than them? Oh well whatever, what's really cool is Dweezil Zappa's rig. He's got some crazy mojo going on

+1

However, if they like his tone, it gives them a good starting point.

Re: Slash's Pedal Board

Oh my futzes...where are the presets???
The MIDI???
THE TRUE BYPASS??
The artsy colours, the strange names??
The unobtanium parts???

P'S can you lower my action too??
My fingers hurt.....

Re: Slash's Pedal Board

Rid's response - a candidate for the year's "oscar response"

I have the same line booster from MXR - MAJOR KEEPER along with with Spina TS9. Try that thing. I run mine in the loop - Blasphemy !!! - I know Rid, but its amazing. In front of the amp its just as great. I like that simple 4-8 pedals used selectively approach, seems like a classic formula you have to try to go wrong with.

Re: Slash's Pedal Board

Great to see boards like this, knowing you can walk into most stores and buy those pedals without waiting forever and paying an arm and a leg.

Re: Slash's Pedal Board

Looks like he has a thing for MXR. They do make some good pedals.

Like FrankyBoy said...MXR and Dunlop are from the same people. See that red wah in the board? That's a Slash sig. So that could be big reason why there's so many MXR pedals.

+1 to that.
I think MXR needs to rethink its delay. Even when the analog delay sounds sweet, a lot of musicians are still prefering the Boss delay.

I don't think they should change the Carbon Copy at all! Analog and digital are different and have their own virtues and they should stay that way.

Yeah...talking about gear is kind of the point in this forum.

Re: Slash's Pedal Board

It's weird, because talking about gear is the point of the forum, yet missing the point of the essence of guitar playing at the same time.
You could have given The Ramones the ****tiest gear of their day and they would have still rocked everyone's socks off.

I'll have better gear eventually, but I hardly see myself going a complicated route. No MIDI for me, thanks.

Slash's board is really sweet though!

What Boss delay??
They have made quite a few up until today...
The CC was made by Jorge from Way Huge....
Simple, without the silly taptempo crap...sounds good, alot of players still like simple turn on and off delays..
