Re: Sleeper pedals
Guys, those aren't sleepers at all! They're all go-to pedals for a ton of people.
My picks:
Ibanez DFL (Digital Flanger): One would think that the words digital and flanger don't belong together, but this little pea green box as some serious tone. It's the choice of Tom Morello as well as Adam Jones. Subtle enough to be useful, it give your rhythm playing a little movement behind it.
EHx Wiggler: It may be too expensive to be considered a sleeper, but this box is one of the most beautiful sounding vibrato/uni-vibe pedals I've heard. I'm sure the duo of 12AX7's contribute to the warmth, I can leave it on with a touch of built in OD and jam for hours.
Rightous Tones - Sonic Mayhem: Great Triangle era Muff clone, heaps of gain, great tone stack, nice immediate attack.
Tonefactor Nubula/Mule: I don't have them but I'd like to try them. Reasonably priced Phase 45 inspired phaser and Red Llama clone. Good stuff.
Big Muff. I modded mine. But put it back to standard. For what it does, it's perfect. And cheap. GREAT pedal. A bit vicious but easy to tame with your picking. I love mine.
