Re: Sleeper pedals

B Bent, the term 'sleeper' is used to refer to something that looks tame on the outside but can really perform. I think it started with the car culture in the '50's onward, something like a station wagon with steel wheels but a 428 under the hood. (My grandpa did back in the day... lol)

Hence, the TS9 being a hugely popular and nearly universally liked pedal would be almost the opposite of a sleeper. :) Now the TS5 or TS7 could be a sleeper, since those series of pedals are more looked down upon.

Re: Sleeper pedals

ahh OK... I didn't understand the meaning of the term the way it was being used here. Whoops.

I always thought sleeper meant the same thing as keeper or something.

Re: Sleeper pedals

sleeper to me means some overlooked gem of a pedal that we all really would like but no one has paid it any mind
