Slipknot on Singlecoils

Re: Slipknot on Singlecoils

yea that sounds cool as hell lol, i used to have my strat in S/S/S setup and sometimes would mess around trying to get heavy tones like that and imo single coils are underrated for that because they can actually get some heavy distorted sounds and sound really clear and precise which is actually a good thing for riffing with heavy distortion

:D
Ah man keep them coming...I like new metal...when they do not do that silly growl muttering, screamy and all that bloody vocals...the music is good.
Yeah you can go quite heavy with singles!!

Yeah, the only major problem is hum!

I really like recording heavy music with p-90s. I have a Godin LGsp90 with a duncan custom somethingorother ceramic p-90 that comes stock with it... it just has a cool character to it, crunchy as hell, but has a bit more life to it than a humbucker... It might just be that guitar and that pickup but I'm certainly a fan

Wow that doesn't sound like single coils at all.

I like it a lot. Nice rhythms in there - lots of tension and release. Great stuff.

man. i just keep imagining George Lynch shredding over that with TONS of delay. Holy **** - that would take it to the next level. He should be playing in a spinning rusted cage, with SPIKES AND BLADES, with sharks and pirahnas eating each other all around him. That would make a great music video too.
