I'm gonna say smallish roland cube, or maybe the vox. You will NEED a headphone jack. Trust me and my three children on this point. Not that I don't LOVE my little Pro Jr. It's just not baby friendly in any room...

There is nothing more versatile than the Vox Valvetronix series for value, tone and ease of dialing in. My vote is for the Vox AD15VT.

The Crate V5 has a pretty good sound, I almost bought one but it wasn't going to be loud enough to compete with my friends V12 15.

It has pretty good blues distortion and an 8 in speaker so its pretty portible.

This little amp sounds GREAT at any volume, i played on not long ago and it really has some great clean and dirty tones. They are cheap, so i think its a no-brainer here.
