Hello forum bros,

We are gearing up for the official launch of our new Dirty Deed Distortion pedal. For the last several years we've been working on building a pedal that we absolutely loved and one that was designed and assembled here in Santa Barbara. The Dirty Deed is designed to capture the character and responsiveness of a classic overdriven tube amplifier with elements of distortion, fuzz and overdrive combined into a single wide-range pedal. With a turn of the gain knob you can go from the sparkling overdrive of your favorite classic rock songs to a rich, powerful hard rock distortion with amp-like saturation. The distortion is thick and beefy with a sweet spot in the mid-range EQ and a strong bass response, while highly responsive Treble, Bass, Gain and Level controls allow you to dial in your ideal sound whether you're using the Dirty Deed as your sole source of grit or you're adding some extra dirt to an already-overdriven amp.

It's an analog, true bypass pedal, with MOSFET and assembled right here. You can pre-order them on the list of sites at the bottom and they will be shipping most likely later next week. Love to hear your feedback and experience in using this pedal!

No offence but did you guys not learn your lesson the first time with this pedal mess??

The older SD pedals were just a terrible attempt at pedal building not to mention you jumped in to a world that is already as saturated as a market can get.

I don't know who you guys think you are fooling with the "Assembled in Santa Barbra" deal but it smells like using cheap parts on cheap boards that are built overseas then the loaded boards stuffed into boxes in Cali...

If you guys would spend the time, energy and not to mention money on things you're good at you might not have to worry about getting more market share of other items like pedals...

I thought the SD pedal line was going to go the way of the SD Amps of the 80's but I guess you guys are hard to learn a lesson.

This looks/sounds really cool. Nice, compact pedal in a rugged stomp box format. Looks like a versatile pedal, indeed. I can see one of these earning a spot on my pedal board in the very near future.

Nice manners, babe! A wise man once said "everything before the word 'but' is a lie."

Seymour Duncan has created some seriously kick-tail pedals. The Twin Tube Classic is one of my all-time favorite amp enhancers, and built like a freaking tank. I, for one, applaud that Seymour and Co. continue to crank out such wonderful tools (and toys) for us. Their love for all things guitar is clearly evident in every product they offer.

Why all the hate?

Nice, so it is an overdrive and distortion? What makes is different than other distortion pedals? Sounds good so far!

Even if you were right, your post is still acting like this NEW pedal is exactly like the OLD pedals you didn't like. Can you at least wait until you've played one before you pass judgment?

And to say the place an item is made makes it good or bad exhibits prejudice. You're pre-judging a product based on its place of origin. Not good, man.

This pedal shows some thoughtful design, too. Quick access battery door, and flexible 9 - 18V DC supply voltage.

Well, I for one applaud this new attempt and await what will come next from here with great anticipation (although, between you and me, I'm with Dominus on this one, although it sounded great on that demo it was too quiet and polite for my tastes unless I'm simply using it to add sizzle to my already-hot amp :9:).

And, TGWIF, I feel I should remind you how unsuccessful (regardless of quality) the original LiveWires were and how Kick-Butt amazingly successful the Blackouts (and new LiveWires) are, giving EMG a serious run for their money and forcing them to innovate again after being practically stagnant for the better part of a decade.

Really nice sounds in that demo video. I love my PowerGrid and am really looking forward to new Duncan pedals.

Unless you were on the beta test team I don't see how you could have any advanced knowledge of this product? Not unless you posses extra sensory perception in which case your time would be better spent in the lucrative field of sports betting.

Easy there, Snow. He's just trying to be helpful by pre-loading objections, biases, and speculations that have nothing to do with the quality of the new products.

It's has a very organic/natural sound, and of course it has a lot of thought put into the controls which are highly responsive you don't have to crank the knobs to really shape the tone. To me it has a distinct classic to hard rock feel. The Mosfets are considered superior to germanium and the mid-range on the pedal is just right. Hope you guys like it, even you TGWIF :)
