So, A Buddy Of Mine Wants Me To Play On A Song Of His

Well, actually, that's a lie. I want to play on a buddy of mine's song. He posted a video of on Facebook the other day laying down his solo. It was just a quick 20 second (or however long) snippet, but I could just hear something in the song that I loved. I called him up the next day and asked him to send me the entire song.

Now, Vern isn't a singer, a lead player, or whatever, (but he is great at what he does). I've always enjoyed the music he's written. 95% of the stuff he's written is just hard, heavy, groove, killer stuff....but he's just a country boy like me, and will write whatever pops in his head, and he does it very well.

So, anyways...I freakin love this song, and I want to put my two cents of guitar work in it, and also help him with the mix and stuff. I've been playing along to it for the past two days, and I think it's going to sound really really good when it's all said and done. Believe it or not, I am totally going to abuse the Floyd Rose in it. I also have a few different lead fills that I've come up with.

I'm supposed to go out there in the deep country tomorrow and do my thang. I am sooooooo looking forward to it.

Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with a different mix with me playing on it.
