Little metal ditty to test out the amps...

First is just my 5150, second is just his Legacy, third is the two blended with the Legacy panned hard L/R and the 5150 tracks panned 80% L/R, and the fourth is the reverse of three.

Brendan jamming a bit on the 5150's clean channel (He didn't know it was being reecorded), proving that it ain't all bad.

This is a test I decided to do with Brendan playing - SM57 vs SM58 without the windscreen, in the same exact position. Many people claim they sound the same... obviously, there's a huge difference.

Cool! I like being able to toggle between the two amps, and hear the difference.
The Legacy is darker and warmer, while the 5150 has more presence and bite.
Both sound good in the track. You get some nice fat tones, and those drums sound like they're in the room. What drum program do you use?

Oh yeah, and what guitar/pickup did you use?

lol, what difference? i hear a veerrrry small eq change but i cant even tell where. :smack: Cool stuff though, never heard a legacy before. Helps that the 5150 is the comparison too.

edit: ok i take that back, i cant hear any change. was that a joke? hehe

Great clips dude! There is a difference..the 5150 has a nicer "crush" but both sound great imho. Good playing!

You really don't hear it? It's a huge change in the voicing of the midrange.

It took a couple times before I could hear a difference, and then it was pretty obvious. The Legacy sounds smoother and fatter than the 5150.

that's pretty cool.

the change in the midrange is pretty noticeable. sounds wider(?) with the 58
even on my **** speakers i can hear it


and boy do i love those drums! they sound so fookin METAL!
