So, for the first time in my life...

Frito's Better Half
I have the rig that I've always wanted. Minus one thing.

I have:

A Strat
A Tele (Two, actually)
A 335
A Spruce topped dreadnaught
A Cedar topped dreadnaught
A cutaway dreadnaught (for MM style lead playing)
An OM style acoustic
A travel acoustic
And a mandolin

Just missing a bass, and to electrify the OM, and it's all gravy.

Re: So, for the first time in my life...

What's your OM guitar?

1970's MIJ Sekova F-1000. Purchased used about 7 years ago from a pawn shop for 34 bucks. Lami spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Been a good friend for years, and was my only guitar until I met Meghan 2 years ago.

Re: So, for the first time in my life...

What kinda Bass are you looking for? And did you get the job?

Not picky... Okay, that's a lie. Jazz style with a wider neck, preferably sunburst with a rosewood fretboard. And I haven't heard about the job, yet. My sample probably got there yesterday, it takes 24 hours for the test to go through, and it still has to get back to the right people.

But, there should be absolutely NO reason for me not to pass.

Re: So, for the first time in my life...

this thread sounds like a really good excuse for a family portrait to me.

Re: So, for the first time in my life...

I took one this morning, and it's posted in the "show off your rig" thread, but I'll take one tomorrow and post it up.
