So I Bought A Tone Pro's Locking Bridge

And it doesn't fit. The studs and adjustment wheels are too small for the bushings in my Lester, and the studs that came on my Lester are too big. I bought the only one that Stewmac offered...can someone tell me exactly which one I need? The code on mine is AVR2/N...

Stewmac will take it back, but what do I order?

Re: So I Bought A Tone Pro's Locking Bridge

You ordered the one for the reissue? Does the N stand for Nashville? It should have fit. Is this the old style one with the wire retainer on it? What guitar are you trying to put it on?

hmmm oddd...perhaps ask the guys at blackrose since they are a TP dealer (TP hehehe)...but i thought that the large studs were used more in imports rather than US made LPs. i could be wrong though, it did happen once before. :)

Sorry, I wasn't specific enough. It's going on my 03' Standard. I went with Stewmac because I bought a lightweight tailpiece there as well.

The "N" actually stands for nickel. It's an ABR-1 style bridge with the retaining wire, but it's the new AVR-II tonepros model.

Just put it on your R7. You'll thank me later.

So it'll fit the R7? The only problem is that my R7 has aged hardware, and this one is of course new.

Maybe I'll put it on there anyhow, and order annother from John at Blackrose...I forgot he was a TP dealer, or I would have ordered from him originally. Here's a pic of what I got, and you can see that the threads are small, and different from the one's that came on my Lester. The one's on my Lester now do not allow you to remove the thumbwheel....it's all one unit that moves up and down, not like the stuff in the pic.

I think mabye this is the model I need, yes? The posts look like what's on my Lester now, but this model doesn't look like an ABR1.
