...We talked. He wanted a JCM2000 DSL head, and I wanted his amp.

So we decided to make a trade with no money involved. And on the 30th of November, I shall pickup my new amp.. Aka my dream amp.

Marshall JCM800 2203 from 1988.

In good shape and sounds great.

The only problem is a volume pot that is scratchy and apparently makes the volume flacker a bit sometimes? Dunno if its just a scratchy pot?

Anyway, I cant wait to get this amp!

Re: So I called this guy with a amp for sale..

Good for ya. If you don't like it, feel free to post it to Finland.
Now all you need is a good booster and those LP's, now you can get two LP's, since no money of that 6000 or whatever it was, was spent on the amp. Just get that LP std and Custom, if you have the money. With different pups, you can use them for different stuff (IE: one for Campbell, one for Sykes :D:D:D)

I the amp doesnt work out for you konw that Sweden is a way better place then Finland :D ;)

Re: So I called this guy with a amp for sale..

I feel bad for the guy you're trading with. He's gonna get that DSL up and running and start missing his JCM IMMEDIATELY.

Btw. Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt Randy Rhoads use a JMP2203 on Blizzard Of Ozz? Wouldnt this amp with a MXR Distortion+ driving it, be pretty capable of such a sound?

Nope. He used plexi, 1959, with Dist+ and MXR eq.
The Dist+ gives the sound it's bite and rawness/heavyness.

But didnt he have two heads? A white plexi and a JMP?

Guys, guys. Relax. He used two heads, which were both non-MV 1959's. One was black and the other one white. They might have been modded, but I don't think so.
He had changed the speakers to Altec 417-8H's, which have 100 W power rating.

"Marshall Super Lead was what Randy used. It's a non-master volume 100W tube amp that is very bright sounding. Randy plugged the guitar into the top-left input"
