Re: so i decided to compile my dream jackson

Just buy a PC1, since you seem to have the cash.
I know it's not exactly what you want, but hey, these things can't be beat apparently.

I would, but i despise sustainers, i don't want a bolt-on, and dimarzios are nowhere near my cup of tea (sonically and for personal reasons). My bolt on is my american deluxe mahogany SE Guitar Center HSS.... and that has SD's in it. Also, I don't need all the extra minitoggles and I don't like flamey tops.

You're asking for a strat head though.
How about the new Adrian Smith model?

Re: so i decided to compile my dream jackson

the problem is, i have an HSS that's bolt on... what i listed is a startpoint, if anyone has an idea to make it so that it can be stratty (even if it's ballsy stratty) but can also go "ya wanna see a jackson... THIS IS A ****ing JACKSON!" when needed. That's why what I have is a startpoint

It has to keep the headstock, and the neckthru, but if there are pup ideas and wiring ideas, that's what I'm most open to.

Re: so i decided to compile my dream jackson

Dude that'll cost like, $7 grand! Not that it's not doable, but I hope you really think it'll stick in th end -- especially with the wait, 4 months to a year. Did you (mock) fill out a Jackson spec sheet yet from their website?

yea i did, but the addition box got me all confused so i did it the way that i did it to make it easier for me to work a schematic out. I'm thinking to change the body wings to alder. The wait at this point is between 1 year and 18 months typically. I'm not sure though if they can do the strat-style headstock, but that's a big sticking point for me. If Jackson had a .pdf style list like what charvel has for its options, it'd be a lot easier than the drop down menu they use right now. This way I could see all the options at once and pick and choose what i like rather than have to fly blind with 37 million drop-down menus. Poor website upgrade on the part of Jackson IMHO :banghead:. A lot of friends have told me that I'm going to end up with essentially a super-hotrodded neckthru stratocaster and not what really embodies a Jackson. Any ideas that are more than "get a PC1" and "ed roman!" would be greatly appreciated :D
