Here's the deal... I've been on a bit of an Ibanez bender lately, starting with buying the grey quilted maple veneered RG320DXQM body at the top of the pic, then the Jewel Blue RG470 at the bottom (with a side piecing together an RG5EFX1 and a S470.. and the ART100 I already had... and a AS-73 Violinburst I got for a steal)... anyway, I came to the conclusion I have enough basswood in the collection, so I'm going to be selling the RG320 and the RG470.
But I have that neck for an RG320, and I snagged that homemade mahogany x20...
The hb routs in the mahogany body are set for the pups to be woodmount. I have a Bartolini active pair, ready to go in...
Do I save a spot of cash, and use the chrome hardware I have, or sell one body complete with the hardware (sans neck), and go for either a gold or black set up? The pups (being Bartolini), are black slabs.
Oh, and the part about my wife being crazy? She doesn't think that neck looks good with the mahogany...
The mahogany body does still need a little bit of work... there's no forearm contour, need to tweak the control cavity rout on the back, and *carefully* tweak the Floyd Rose rout, and the AANJ needs to be sculpted... no serious issues.
