Aceman
I am your doctor of love!
So I have a Demon in the bridge of this:

I played it out for a gig last week. I have been playing it a lot this week. I have sort of got the height where I want too, but haven't really tweeted the poles yet. It was challenging given the tight fit in the pick guard.
All of that considered....I'm digging it. I am running into a high gain Marshall, and using a lot of effects; Delay, Chorus, Flange, etc...and some decent gain. I have been a real fan of the Pearly Gates set I've been using, especially my bridge that is wound to 9k. I really like the way the treble cuts through the processing. Again - similar to the Pearly. I think what I dig about the bottom is that it is tight and present, but not overwhelming. I suspect that is because of the excess highs more so than having less bass. Enough mids to do what it needs to do. Sound good all around with the Floyd. I get why they went to an a5 in the PG + on Strats, I think.
I am really looking forward to adjusting the poles to perfection. Given what I play, I think I might always choose this over a 59 for 80's metal etc. especially when processing is involved.
Don't get me wrong - I love the 59. This pup (and the PG) are both just a little 'more' of what I like, in two different ways, but similar.
