I think the gecko burst is amazing. I agree about that first LP, I can't stand that finish with gold and black.

The fridge my family had when I was growing up had the same finish!

Yep, Antigua had to be the worst idea Fender ever had that made it to production ...

Of course, you have to remember that the folks who brought you Antiqua dressed in pastel leisure suits!! What would you expect ...

All orange guitars, with the exception of Gretsch, are hideous.

For builders: it's simple ... if you're Gretsch, you can make an orange guitar. If you are NOT Gretsch, you can't. That's the rule.

The ugliest finish? That would have to be a Strat in seafoam green, powder blue, or shell pink. My God, what were they thinking?

Okay, I had an Antigua strat many years ago and thought it was nice--but that wall of Antigua is hideous.

Not all orange is bad. I have an Ibanez RG750 in Five Alarm Red that for all intents and purposes is neon orange. It looks awesome with the black hardware and pickguard...
