Re: So Who's Played Through A Marshall JVM410H?
I just traded in my dual rec for one of these babies. Well worth the trade. It's obviously way tighter than the mesa all around. My trouble with sloppy low end is no more. Lot less noisy and no real noise when changing channels. The mesa would pop loud when changing channels regardless of me playing or not. Extremely versatile, just by going through all the settings I was playing all sorts of styles of music I wouldn't normally play. For once I actually will use all the channels. You can really hear everything really Crystal to where you hear little stuff like the string hitting the fret board so you can imagine the phrasing capabilities. Regarding the reverb funny thing when I had it on the clean channel with my split 59 first thing I did was start playing a surf riff out of no where, but on other setting I thought the reverb sounded just fine. I'm actually surprised at the price it's going for considering the competition you would think it would be way more. Silent standby, and midi is a huge plus. Maybe I'm also overtaken because I'm so used to my dual rec, which I was not so happy with. I did keep the mesa vintage 30 cab, and it sounds ace, but who knows what it would sound others cabs. Consider me a marshall fan.
By the way anyone ever try out a rivera? Those were the only other heads in my price range that seemed interesting. Of course if I had more money bogner ecstasy, evh III, and, hughes & Kettner mkII all seem nice, but definitely don't seem to justify the price difference especially considering they're less versatile.
