Honestly, how different can any of them be (provided they are all birch construction). I am trying to find a 70s Marshall cab, but if I had to go new, I would just order a custom cab with my choice of speakers.

I own the Bogner halfstack, and have heard plenty of Soldano halfstacks.
Both amp companies use top notch materials, but Reinhold doesn't have an equal......no, not even Peter Diezel. haha

UUUUUGH I have to agree
I have played Mojave's, Germinos, Soldanos, VHTs, Deizels and the Bogners are a 5% - 10% cut above. Many will agree.
So if you want something else, you may very well be happy - but the Bogners cost more and are worth it.
Still, if it comes to MATCHING sets - I tend to feel many companies do a good job of making cabs tuned to the amp IE Orange and Mesa with their respective amp heads.

Wow this thread turned into a Bogner appriciation thread really quickly, but I would like to hear more detail, from sound clips I really like both so I wanna hear more, the idea is basically to step by step clone my JCM900 1960A cab to one of these to as much as possible.

To make a Marshall 1960A more like a Bogner, Soldano, or Splawn cab, putting a birch plywood back on it, with some insulation glued to the inside. And, 4 Vintage 30's. That would make the cab step up in tone. I did that with an old JCM 800 1960A years ago, and it sounded better than my other stock one.

Yeah I've learned about a birch plywood back a while ago on this, V30s yeah looks like is the speaker for me. What insulation would you recommend? and Also what gauge and what manufacturer for wiring would you recomend to make it bogner/soldano like? Thanks man.

If you can't afford a Diezel, Bogner is a great alternative. Although I prefer Splawns. VHT's and Soldano's are awesome too. I like so many amps from so many makes, which is why I own a couple different ones. Most people think that the amp they play is the best, so you really have to judge for yourself.

doesnt soldano use eminence speakers? unless the cabinets have identical speakers you cant really compare them. even if you put vintage 30's in the soldano it probably wouldnt be a fair comparison. soldanos are probably designed for the eminence and bogners for the celestions.
see which one sounds better to your ears.

Whats the V30 analogy at Eminence? if that's what Soldano uses ??? I would love to hear sound clips comparing the sounds ... Dudes, you rock thanks a lot I am getting exited about this, I might finish this cab before the end of the year !!!
