Heres how ive blown some of my extra cash this summer.....

Started as a early 70's Fender Super Reverb stuck into a Fender Bandmaster head cabinet. Head was then sent to Bill Penn of Penn amps (www.pennalizer.com) he rebuilt the circuit to blackface specs and changed the power tubes from 2 6L6's to 4 EL84's. he also changed the bright switches to mid boost switches.

I then got an Avatar G12H special with 1 vintage 30 and 1 G12H 70th anniversary special.

I also got an Agile AL3000 Slim Profile neck over the summer and put a seth lover in the neck and a 59 in the bridge.

Man, every time I see on of those Agile's or Edwards (like Thames's') I think to myself, man, now that's how a Cherry Sunburst is supposed to look. I wish I felt that way when I looked at a Gibson. Most Gibby's seem that have too much red, and the transition is to quick...making most look like they have a red halo...yuck.

Nice gear bro, you've had a great summer.

give us a review on that agile!!!!

or for my sake...maybe you shouldn't tell me how great it is!!! :smack:

Re: Some Eye Candy for you

well the agile plays fantastic. first ebony fretboard ive ever owned and its rediculously smooth plays like butter and it sounds pretty dang close to a gibson but not quite as balanced as a real high quality lp. ive played in church a couple times through a junky old peavy transtube and got a compliment by the guy who owned the amp who said how come i could never make that amp sound like that. it has really nice cleans with the middle position with the Seth Lover and 59 and the 59 makes a real nice rock tone in the bridge. while the seth lover sounds good for slower more emotional solos. pretty much in conclusion this guitar is really really nice. its not a gibby lp and when i do get a high end gibson or prs i will probably still keep this guitar merely because theres situations where you need a nice reliable guitar that wont ruin your life if you lose it. this a good guitar for anyone who dosent wanna risk losing really expensive gear or wants a guitar thats similar to a top of the line guitar with all the fancy additions without paying the hefty price tag.

IMO the flame acutally looks about ten times better in person without the flash on it is alot redder in on the outsides and deeper in the middle more like it looks on rondos site
