Some Help here ?

hey guys, I'm hoping I can get some info here from you. I have a 1989 Peavey Bandit 112 which I got a couple of months ago . I've only been using the clean channel on it because the Post knob which is on the Gain section, is snapped off. On Wednesday , I finally called Peavey and gave them the amp's serial number and after waiting several minutes , they were able to locate a piece that will fit my amp . My question is, seeing that this is a capacitor for a amp, is there a certain amount of solder that you should put on it when replacing the older capacitor ? I've heard that if you put too much , you can ruin the circuit board , so any info would be helpful, thanks.

Some Help here ?

Enough to hold it in place. It's not the solder that could damage the board, it's the amount of heat applied.
