Also, can someone(s) please tell me more aobut the following pickups and what it can do for me in the bridge pos. (sound characteristics etc...other than what the SD website says)
'59
custom
custom 5
custom custom

thank you...I hav narrowed it down to these 4.
59, the bench mark PAF pickup!!!

The custom, like a paf on steroids. You can get classic tones out of it as well as metal. (I think this one is you best bet judging by what you are looking for)

Custom 5, Paf like with alot of hair metal tone to it. Kind of bright in some guitars. Not quite as classic sounding as the custom in my opinion. But a good choice also.

custom Custom, Warm and buttery. Tons of mids! Like the other 2 customs, it has some PAF vibe to it but, it is very warm. This pickup is one of my more favorite pickups through a solid state amp because it warms it up alot and gives it life. In my taste, its a bit of a overkill on warmth and mids in a good tube amp though.

Re: some pup suggestions (help please)

It would matter on the woods used on ur guitar?
'59 and Custom 5 are great on darker sounding les pauls but might be too bright for a strat maybe try the custom or custom custom (i have heard these have more mids then '59s)

Yes, thanks sooo muc hguys, I think it's going to be a custom!!! But after hearing "stevo" (the user on the forum) pickup clips on his site, I am now wondering which custom, I think it will be the custom (sh-5) but the custom custom sounded mean as hell too!! hopefully I can get in touch with him...

His custom clip sounds awsome, and the lead sounds a bit thinner, but then again, it sounds like he has different settings on...almost like its not turned up as much. And the custom custom sounds a bit more meatier, but as I said before, sounds liek he has his amp turned up a bit more in this (or it could just be me)....so basically I'm stuck in the customs, wondering which one to get...mostly leaning toward Custom and Custom Custom
