Well, the HX Stomp does have a variable input impedance. It's normally set to 1M, much like most tube amps' inputs. So in that regard, it should react the same-ish to pot values. But you can load the pickups by lowering it on the unit in several steps. I assume they do that more to "play nice" with fuzzes or stuff like that or with outboard gear that's line level. But the next step from 1M is 230K, and I feel it's too big of a jump, and it takes it to the extreme. Going from a 500K to a 300K or 250K pot should be more subtle than that, and more in line with what I'm trying to achieve.500k volume for neck, 250 volume for bridge, master 500k tone thats p/p to split both pups. i only go into old style tube amps, so not sure how it sounds into a sim.
