At times, I've questioned my soldering skills. There's never been any consistency, sometimes it works, sometimes not.
Bought a Gibson Flying V at the end of 2012. Never understood why Gibson is so stubborn in putting high-output pickups
in every model...except their Les Pauls.

...anyway...

the 500T/498R wasn't for me, so I decided to rip'em out(not literally mind you :nono: ) and look elsewhere.
at first I thought of going Michael Schenker on it, you know since he plays a V, I play a V and are a big fan of his,
so I scored a Lundgren Vintage bridge (swedish boutique) with the intention of putting it in the bridge and
possibly get something else for the neck, like...let's say...an A2P
well, it didn't turn out that way however, I will still keep the Lundgren, but it will go in the neck instead
as for the bridge, I will have something that's been pondering my mind for many years, but I never gotten around to actually getting one...

Lo and behold:

a JB :bling: although this particular dealer seems to use a stock picture, this model is actually reverse Zebra, the Lundgren is completely black.

I'd love to try some Lundgren's, but they're so expensive in the U.S. How much do they cost in Sweden?

according to xe.com, they are roughly $200 new, although I got mine for $62

update.
got home a few hours ago with the newly installed JB. asked my uncle for help since I didn't want to screw anything up.
adjusted the bridge and off I went but something must've gone wrong, because the JB sounds VERY weak mg:
I suspected that only one coil might be working, so I tapped both with a screwdriver...both makes sound, although one
is notably louder than the other.

Opened it up again, cut off the red/white cables, twisted them together AGAIN, soldered and taped them. same result :wrf:
I know the JB can be and has been described as bright sometimes but this is not it is it?

Unsolder the red and white wires and test the resistence of each coil.

don't own a multimeter mg: but it would be strange though, since it came right from the box.

I guess it could be amp related. First tried it out on the POD, then on the Randall earlier
today..big difference, but still "weak"
