Wow. I have an Agile custom Hawker for YEARS that I could never get to sound good. I thought the wood was dead. I tried Super Distortion, Duncan Distortion, Brobucker, A2P, they all sounded blah. I mean years. Tried to sell it, nobody even sniffed. So it's been sitting around for a couple of MORE years. The band is starting to play gigs again after quite awhile, and my Les Pauls are worth too much to bring to a bar now so I got a Schecter a year or so ago and had a great pickup swap a few days ago putting an A2P neck and Custom 8 in the bridge. Wonderful. The Hawker was tonight. I have a Custom/59 hybrid I bought off someone here last year and I put an A8 magnet in it and slapped it in the Agile. It was like that pickup was made for that guitar. Brought it to LIFE, and it screams, pinches, just a wonderful rock guitar now. The mids are smooth and very present, bottom is full and the top end cuts but doesn't shriek. Let's see how they both do in rehearsal tomorrow night but in the basement tonight that Agile may have just become #1.
