I know Yngwie uses speakers who won't breakup (accept more watts then the amp produces) how does speaker saturation and breakup sound?

Can you give me songs that represnt a good exmple of someone pushing the speakers hard and examples of songs where the speakers being used have higher wattage reading then the amp produces?

Pat Hare on 'I'm Gonna Murder My Baby'---a P12R in meltdown mode.

The Albert King stuff on Stax has quite a few cuts where at least one speaker is blown...

Now this guy has some serious good tone for those days / and even for today !

Also, listen to his tune, "When I am gone"

Recorded in Memphis, March 31, 1952.

After that recording session, the speaker(s) had to be replaced !

:smokin:

OT :

. . . does anyone know what guitar he used in this time-period of his life ?

I have a picture of him on the wall with a Gibson L-10 (maybe a pre-war L7) and a DeArmond pickup, and I've seen other pix with a ES125...yeah, that crazy incredibly distorted 9th chord he plays in the middle of that tune is truly psychedelic. One of Hazel Adkins big influences, it sounds like...
