so i bought a Seymour Duncan 84-40 on ebay and i have yet to play it since im on base in 29 Palms Ca, but GAS has got me wanting lol. The amp is a 40w el84 1x12 combo, the speaker is a Seymour Duncan king tone... i have no idea what the characteristics of the speaker are since i cant find anything online. The speaker i wanna swap it with is a Weber Blue Dog. the question i have about it are the options you guys think i should get.
Wattage
Magnet AlNiCo or ceramic
Doping
Cone paper or hemp
I was thinking maybe something like this
-75w (since i doubt ill ever crank it all the way...)
-Ceramic magnet (its an open back combo and i fear there will be a lack of sufficiant bass)
Lightly Doped (that just seems like what people are goin for)
no idea as to the cone material
any suggestions, i am seriously GASing. i will be back home for memeorial day where i will get a chance to play it and bring it back here with me along with one of my guitars til i finish my project "Jazzmaster". likely ill be playing mostly blues jazz, and classic rock, maybe a bit of heavier stuff. i bought a gfs twin overdrive from a forum bro (yet to have played), i have a boss bd-2, and a crybaby i will likely be using with it. thanks
