Speaker Questions for Fender amp setup

I am going to be doing a little modifying on my rig. I currently have a fender twin reverb that I am putting into a head version (thanks to MOJO). I am having the head custom made with blonde tolex and oxblood grill, and putting on the cream colored knobs (similar to the Fender Super Sonics). i am getting a matching 4x12 cabinet to make a Fender Twin half stack. My beloved Ibanez TUBE KING gives me that marshall tone, but I was wondering what kind of speakers to put in it. Now since it is an enclosed cabinet I was thinking V30's. But I wanted to see in anyone else has any other ideas.

Re: Speaker Questions for Fender amp setup

A Fender Twin in a head is a Dual Showman Reverb. Its a monster of an amp. The DS Showman reverbs had a JBL D-130F. These were/are 15" speakers, so I don't know if you can get 4 in the cab. The original Showman cabs had 2 of these.

For a Fender I would prefer a a Jensen or maybe an Altec 12" The Celestions just suck to much "Fender" out of these amps.

i think some old jensen p12n or new weber versions would be sweet! the c12n is cool too and has a much more fendery tone than the celestions.

the v30 isnt a bad option but not my favorite for clean tones unless you mix it with something else
