Speaker replacement Blackstar HT-20

Hello Seymour Duncan forum.
I have been away for awhile and came back to Seymour Duncan because of the helpfulness I have received in the past.
I recently sold my Line 6 Spider Valve MK1 (first version) for a Blackstar HT-20.
I want to downgrade paying for a ton of processed amp effects and go down to a basic tube amp, hence my amp choice.
I enjoy my Blackstar however I would like a bit more juice out of the overdrive section. I have read numerous posts on this issue.
I am considering a speaker replacement, and perhaps a distortion pedal. The amp has a Celestion Rocket 50 (50w-8Ohm-95db sensitivity)
I have a GT12-75 celestion from an old amp. I could swap for this. Or if I buy a new speaker, perhaps a greenback.

Apologies for this long post so far, here are my question(s)... :scratchch
Can I swap a speaker into a tube amp without having to adjust the tubes?
I have read that as long as my new speaker has the same 8ohm, and more watts than my amp can hold I'm good.
However if an amp is 20 watts, can I have a new speaker rated at 25 watts? Too close?
Also will changing a speaker make an adjustment with the overdrive section?
-Thank you for any help or suggestions!! Much Appreciated
