Special Thanks for MJ - Great Custom Shop Success Story

Re: Special Thanks for MJ - Great Custom Shop Success Story

I suppose you could just edit the original post, then post again to bump it up to the front page.

But, then again, a new thread wouldn't be bad, either, since you've described how it sounds so much here, all that's left to do really is to hear it for ourselves...

Update:

The MJ PAFs replaced the stock Classic '57s which were VERY bright for my 8.3lb '59 VOS.

Let me tell you - these are the real deal and although I haven't had a chance to plug into my Blockhead (already shipped), these are going to smoke.

I'll have to play them "more' over the weekend to get an EQ and Editorial Review for you, which I don't do very well. Perhaps someone else will be able to help me with it.

Nonetheless, everyone agreed they were a 500% improvement over the '57's. The general consensus is that the 'highs' (through a Twin with all EQ on 5), were very pleasant and the pickups had a nice chunk and balance.

Bottom Line:
I know where my future pickups are coming from.....the lovely Miss MJ! :)

What do you think? Since all the information about the setup is 'here in this thread', would you like the clips to stay or be in a separate thread? I leave it up to you. :fing2:

Ummm... it's April 19th and I haven't been able to find the promised clips, or a more detailed review of the pickups with your Blockhead amp... :(

So are these pickups something that we can order from MJ... just tell her that we want the Duane Allman pickups that she made for Lee?
