Special wiring for Invader, need help please!!

Hi forum,

I built a tele from a kit, routed out the bridge cavity for a HB and plopped in an invader, neck has a tele-neck-size HB from guitarfetish (I play metal). I would like to rewire everything and was hoping to incorporate a series/parallel switch (at least for the invader); I'm also wondering what would be the best pot/cap vol/tone setup for the invader. The guitar has a standard tele control cavity and cover (3-way switch, one vol, one tone). I'd like to buy all parts from guitarfetish.com if possible. One thought I had was to get rid of the tone knob, use a 1-megaohm vol pot, and install a parallel/series switch where the tone knob used to be (though not sure if the switch would fit through the same hole as the tone knob).

I've wired guitars before (I wired this one in a standard config), but as you can probably tell from the above, I don't really know what I'm doing :)
I basically want to add the series/parallel option and "open up" the sound of the invader (which is where the 1 megaohm pot/no tone pot idea came from). Let me know your thoughts. Wiring diagrams would be great!

Thanks,
Jim

Can I do the series/parallel using a switch or does it have to be a push pull pot?

Suggestions for volume/tone pot/cap values?
