there is no dickering or dealing. its a guy i know who is selling two of his three bf pro reverbs to fund a $7k lp purchase. he can get "$3k each" through a mutual friend who has a shop. ive made plans to talk to our friend and play the three amps this weekend. two '66 and one '65. all basically original but one '66 has one non-original speaker which is of course the one i fell in love with when i played it
It all comes down to whether or not Jeremy thinks that it's worth it. I think that test giging it is the way to go.Numbers dont really mean a lot outside the context of an individuals personal financial situation and priorities. While very large numbers of people may see a particular product at a particular price in much the same way, some people are going to see that same product at the same price very differently. For example, some people are going to be happier than others at the thought of paying $2k for a Telecaster.
They were probably traps or fakes.
i love fender reverb amps and a 66 deluxe reverb is my most used gig amp for the past many many years. i have the opportunity to play and buy a bf pro reverb, actually play a few and pick the one i prefer, but its $2800. seems a little steep but not unreasonable? the thing is, i doubt ill use it much. i want one.
