spend fair money on an amp you dont need?

Well, that does sound good. I'd like to hear more variety in the playing- like different tones and stuff, but it sounds extremely dynamic.

he got $3k for one of the three he had. he used to run two and had one as a spare. hes still got two and will keep one most likely

Like I said, the one you are considering purchasing is not $3K and it hasn't sold for $3K. Why isn't he asking $3K for it then if he can get that? :D

he has two left and will keep one, he wants me to have one. it isnt a money thing, hes 70 and retired with a pension and young/hot wife with a good job and the house is paid for etc... he wants $2800, i only wanna pay $2200. i usually gig with him once a week or so but the last two weeks ive been with other bands. when we get together, we will continue our discussion/negotiation. if he sells another one for $3k, i wont hold it against him.

I am surprised he got 3k. Pro Reverbs are really sleeper amps- everyone seems to forget about them.

the one he sold was like factory new other than a three prong power cord, and maybe caps. im thinking that in a month, ill end up with one for $2400 and we will both be happy

Yeah, in this case, you can wait it out. But try to use it for a show if you have the chance. You'll know in a song or 2.

I am curious how it sounds. Strangely, I am also curious about the new 1x12 Pro Reverb Fender is advertising.

and done! one 1966 fender pro reverb now in my possession. id post a pic but stupid uploading still wont work. both amps were nice, the one i picked has one swapped out speaker which is maybe why i liked it better? who knows. it sounds like a really good blackface fender reverb amp. the reissues never sound right to me, not bad, just not as sweet as the old ones. the pro sounds tighter, bolder, and bigger than a deluxe. not as loud and clean as a twin. a little juicier than a super reverb, maybe due to the slightly lower voltages and smaller trannys

Congrats on a really nice amp! I cant wait to see it when the pic upload is working.

it is a great amp for sure! and got it for a price i could live with. now to get a cover so i dont destroy it and figure out what speakers it needs. it sounds great, but i wanna at least replace the one original so i dont pop it
