Spent the last couple of days in the Studio

Brought out several of my guitars. I had stuff with the Custom -8, Custom 5, JB-2, Custom Custom, Carvin M22 SD's and Alt 8.
All of the solos but one and over half the rhythm tracks wound up being done with my Orange Swamp Ash body 95 MG 102 with the Custom 8. The engineer and my band mates picked the Custom 8 tones over the others in a head to head listen on almost every track.
Man how I love this pickup and it SHOULD be a full off the shelf producton pickup!!

Tell me more about the Alt8. I am most familiar with the JB, how does the EQ, output, and overall feel compare? I hear it makes bolt on basswood guitars sound thick and brutal! Very interested in this pup.

so everyone preferred the C8 to the CC, JB2 and alt8? even for lead tones?
