Spider-Man Theme

Played at a show this Saturday. From around 20 mins into the clip, we're starting the second set with the old theme from Spider-Man. It was the first song after a 40 minute break, and my fingers were cold and stiff, and I was unsure about what to play exactly for the solo, so I stumble through the whole thing (majorly untight). But I figured I could throw it out here anyway.

And I would appreciate some dead-honest opinions on the tone. :)

Clip (scroll down a tad bit)

Sounds great to me . . . I like the funky jazzy thing that you guys are doing with the song. It's just near the beginning of the tune that it kind of sounds like you and the other guitarist are stepping on each others toes (rhythm guitarist is a little too loud at that point too). Your guitar tone gets a thumbs up from me, and I liked your solo.

BTW, what are the Oskar awards?

Re: Spider-Man Theme

It's a cover which we have played around with a bit (the artist Ugress has covered the song, hence the funk jazz reference). I agree that we're crashing a little bit.. Thanks for the feedback! :)

The Oskar awards is organized by the local youth ministry here. It's a show where groups can submit short films (~7 minutes) which they had 48 hours to record and edit, early in October. This Friday we showed the 13 short films, and Saturday, the show took place where different prizes were awarded. :)

Hm. Go to the link in the first post, and see the video window right under the Oskar awards poster. Press play, and slide to ~20 mins... Should work, but perhaps there's a US restriction?

Re: Spider-Man Theme

that's one of my favorite songs - I was kind of hoping you'd do some of the changes. Sounded good otherwise.

That was ****in' awesome, man. Your bassist has a really nice groove and your playing and tone was great. Kudos on a show well played. :beerchug:

Sounds good to me. I'm sure the audience got a kick out of it!

It sounds cool! Like the idea and the execution :)
