Duncan loaded too. These look friggin' sweet.

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

Nice Charvel copies, but that headstock is all kinds of buttfugly.

It looks like they didn't even think about it very hard, just decided to chop off a bit of a standard fender strat headstock and left it at that.

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

Pretty cool, but nasty headstock, and another company which sells hot rodded strats? Their amps put them on the map anyway!

If these are expensive (e.g, Suhr) it will be hard for them to get this off the ground IMO

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

Wow! Charvel-wannabe parts-casters with nothing to set them apart besides a big price tag and ugly headstock!

Sometimes, you just gotta stick to what your good at...like amps in this case ;)

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

Looks like the old Peavey headstock.

They look really sweet, specially the first one with the maple board.

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

Mm, my first thought too was 'eh, Charvel knock-offs'. Who knows, might be nice with the purported EVH neck profile.

I do like the fact that the Floyd is actually resting on the body. I've seen so many non-recessed guitars where it floats and can't be lowered without probably modifying the neck angle or pocket height.

Blackwood body is interesting/different, though you need a loose/warm pu for it to work best.

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

I don't get it. What could they possibly bring to the map that hasn't been done plenty of times before. If you want an affordable shredstick, just look towards Charvel, Ibanez, Suhr's Rasmus line...

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

If they are physically made start to finish in the UK then that's probably good news, hence why a high price tag would be there

Why would they be made in the UK? Splawn's an American company.

And yes, they're all made in the USA.

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

It does look like the Peavey headstock.

I don't see anything that really impresses me. Looks like a (well done) parts guitar, which is cool, but I can do that myself.

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

I dig the headstock personally...I'd be willing to get one if I ever had the cash

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

The headstock isnt a fav either, but they are nice guitars.. The basic models are under $2k , so nowhere near a suhr.. I too kinda wondered, why, but Scott used to sell Charvels, so why not just build your own??

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

Sort of a bummer they didnt add anything original to it. It looks like a thousand other guitars. Probably sounds great, but they arent adding anything new to the world.

Re: Splawn... GUITARS?!

Nothing special. Nothing you can't get from a dozen other manufacturers.

I have to admit that that natural is very purdy...it's not zebrawood though.
