I'm ordering off Long and McQuade. It works out because they include a setup when you buy a guitar. I've also bought Epiphones off them before that had a few high frets, and they fixed them because it falls within warranty.

I'm also not too worried about what's underneath the pickguard. I may even stick to the stock single H pickguard and just drop a JB in there or something.

And honestly, many of these new colors are really nice. The red does look cool.

A friend of mine gave me an affinity tele neck, it looked and felt so good that I used it with a pretty expensive tele body, even the frets edge was good, not rolled off (of course) but smooth enough

dunno, mine is straight like an arrow, not even a small dead spot, the C shape a perfect fit for my hand.
I don't like the color, too much clear, but I guess it will darken with time, and I didn't like the satin finish, a bit too rough, I resolved energically rubbing with some paper towels, as suggested here by someone

Same with mine. The neck is great. Even the rosewood board is pretty dark and even colored.
Without the decal refinished in laquer youd never know its not an Allparts neck
